Cleaning Up For Hay Fever Allergies
Spring is coming and with it the pollen that is the primary cause of Hay Fever. Start getting ready today and you can reduce the watery eyes, runny nose, and low energy associated with Hay Fever allergies.
How do we reduce the symptoms of Hay Fever? Simply put, we reduce exposure to pollen. Let's look at a typical American home and understand how to achieve this reduction of pollen exposure.
First we need to make sure that we have air conditioning. While we all enjoy the breeze from an open window, that breeze will carry in the pollen that we want to keep out. Therefore we need air conditioning to keep the inside of our home pleasant. Since some pollen will get inside when door are opened and closed we need to make sure that the filter on is in good shape. Usually the air conditioning system uses the same filter as the furnace. Change to a high-end furnace filter available from 3M, WEB, and Purolator. These are much more effective than your bargain basement home improvement center filters. Next, change the filter monthly during the peak Hay Fever season. It is a small price to pay for a bit of cleaner air.
This next recommendation is simple and inexpensive. When you and your children come home after work or after play take a shower and put on freshly laundered clothes. Your hair, skin, and clothes are ideal places to harbor pollen so don't spend the evening in your own personal pollen cloud. Get clean! This extra pollen-free time will help you to recover from the day and helps your body get ready for a restful sleep.
Wear a dust mask when you are doing the house cleaning. Many of the dusting and vacuuming devices put almost as much dust and pollen back circulating in the air as they take out. A dust mask will help you from getting a "snoot full" of pollen as you are cleaning. Speaking of vacuum cleaners, you should really have a HEPA vacuum or at least one with a HEPA filter after the bag filter. This will reduce the pollen and other bad stuff that you put back into your home air space.
Now that everything is clean and tidy the job should be done. If you still have sneezing at home the next line of defense is a HEPA air purifier. Put a small one in each bedroom and run them on high during the day. This will create a clean air bubble in which your family can sleep restfully. If there is a family room or other common area put an air purifier there so that just before bedtime you get maximum clean air.
If your family still sneezes see your Doctor for medication to address Hay Fever allergies. There are a number of new drugs that will block the T-Cells which cuse the runny nose due to pollen.

Dogs and Hay-fever, what are the symptoms?
So I have done a wee search online as it seems that yes dogs do suffer from hay-fever and that they are not affected in the same way we are, what i would like to ask is what are the symptoms dogs suffer from.
My wee Jack Russel cross has been scratching and sneezing a lot (yes I have recently treated her for flees) and she has been getting lots of eye bogies (that gunky eye stuff) a lot more than she usually does and I am just wondering if this is hay-fever or symptoms of something else.
Oh yea its not bad eye gunk its just more than usual.
Thank-you
thank-you for that guys, both answers really helped

The inside of vagina has been very itchy on the inside for a while now. Its not that red inside that I can see. I have been taking "Lara-Tabs" which is a type of medicine that stops hay fever, allergies ect. That's the only thing I've changed in my daily routine. I also went swimming yesterday in a chlorine pool, could it be the chlorine? What should I do?

What causes pinkish/red eyelids on both eyes?
Both of my eyelids are pink and irritated-- it looks like I have pinkish/reddish eyeshadow on, but I don't. It's not scaly or itchy, it's more irritated and feels more like a burn. Any ideas on what this is and how to treat it? It's a little uncomfortable. Thanks!

How do you set boundries with a mentally challenged person?
My husband & I are renting a room to this older woman who is legally classified as mentally retarded. However this woman is fully capable of comprehending & understanding what she needs to do for herself far as bathing, cooking ETC. She cant read & has limited writing abilities & for that I guess back in the day they said you were retarded if you couldn't do those things. I disagree with that but im not a doctor. To me she is more along the lines of bipolar & is child like in her thinking but most of us can be at times. The thing is is that she is addicted to Tylenol 4s & doubles up on scripts which once we became aware of this we reported it to her doctors & they are handling that. But this woman talks so disrespectful to the both of us & throws tantrums when she don't get her way, she has went as far as calling my husband a fucking asshole in front of her doctor when he came out here to do his check up on her. We have taken her to the homeless shelter to drop her off to see if she would like it better there but decided she would rather be in her warm bed & promised to start treating us with respect. Needless to say in a few days she was right back at it. I have actually left my home a few times now & went to a motel because I couldn't take another minute of her. She has no family who want anything to do with her & for some reason both my husband & I feel sorry for her & don't really want to see her in a shelter or home but there just seems to be no other solution she wont listen & wants to be hard headed. She complains that her stomach hurts & cant use the bathroom yet she wants to drink 12 pops a day, smoke 2 packs of cigarette a day & eat 240 tylenol a month then wonders why shes having these problems. We tell her to drink water that would help but she says she cant. We limited her to 3 cans of pop & she thinks that's unfair, but when she drinks all her pop up in 1 week then she thinks we are going to buy it for her. She gets 2 checks a month to last her & she cant budget it at all so were trying to help her & make her get everything she needs so it will last because we are not going to financially be responsible for her. Im at mu wits end & I don't no what to do.

My 19 month old vomits after eating sweets.?
For example, twice since she's been born we bought Dunkin Donuts for the family. She ate 1/4 of a donut and vomited within 10 minutes. Today I took her and 3 of her cousins to Chick-Fil-A. I thought, as a treat, i'd get her chocolate milk. Big mistake. I left the restaurant in vomit. Anymore than about 1/2 cup of chocolate milk (not that I think she needs more than that) and up it comes. We do not indulge in dessert, or any kind of junkfood, often, maybe once a month. If in small amounts, shes ok but I have to be a 'mean mommy' and not allow others to give her sweets so that I know she doesn't get to much and get sick.
Does anyone know what could be causing this? I've looked up gluten allergy, gluten intolerance, and things but never found vomiting to be a symptom of anything. Any ideas or advics would be aporeciated.
